How to fix the resolution from my Mac Mini to Panasonic TH-37PX60U?
I have an DVI to HDMI cable that I'm using to connect my Mac Mini and Panasonic TH37PX60U tv. It works, but the quality is not good at all. The display resolution is set to 1080i, and I have tried 1080p (it's even worse) and tried the other settings. Words are fuzzy, images are mottled (colors blending, not sharp), and the picture does not extend to the edges, ie, there's a 1" black border around all sides. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do to fix the picture quality? Is there a new driver I should install on the Mac Mini, new firmware for the Panasonic, a custom resolution, or something else? I have read the Mac Support forums, there's very little help that I've found. The Mac Mini is OSX 10.6.3, it's a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo machine with 4GB of memory.

You probably have done this but have you tried going to system preferences>displays and A) setting the maximum resolution and B) trying the button that says detect displays. Also, 10.6.4 came out today, you should run software update just in case.

MAC MINI DUAL DISPLAY (MIRRORED) w 2DVI-D OUTPUTS?
How can I connect 2 DVI-D displays (one lcd & one projector) to the Mac Mini for a mirrored image? Is a simple DVI-D splitter cable enough? Do I lose image quality, resolution, etc..? Many Thanks!

Yeah this should do it for you.

NOAA image: (yes there's an link from the site) the 2000 mile storm.?
so, you think we're in a mini ice age? 2 years in a row everyone's got some snow in the states including hawaii... and now this image ( http://nnvl.noaa.gov/images/high_resolution/640_MidWestSnow_20110201.jpg ) of the snow latent super structure storm.. yipee! i'm ready for spring... (already packed with my margarita mix!)

We certainly seem to be heading into a prolonged cooling period. Here in central California, the last decade has been unusually cool. We've experienced snow down to 500ft, and on one occasion at the beach! Pamela Anderson's nips have been so hard as of late, she was able to cut out some armored glass panels for my Cadillac.

How should I edit and transfer my mini dv home videos onto dvds?
Could someone recommend versatile and inexpensive software to perform the task. So far every single step has been complicated. Codecs, converters, transfers, video editing, multiple formats and resolutions, reformating, dvd authoring, it never ends. and my results were not good. Took me forever and ended up with and overstretched image...

This is how I've done it with fairly good results. Connection: Firewire (Definitely the best.) If your computer doesn't have a firewire port, install a card. There only about $13-20. You'll have to capture to your hard drive to do editing. I know this will sound lame, but if you have windows XP, windows movie maker is a pretty easy program. Use it to capture at the best possible quality. This will take about 10-12 gigs for and hour movie. Just start it and walk away for an hour. Editing: Like I said, I use movie maker. It's basic, but I found it very easy to use. Output to DVD format: After editing, you can save the file in NTSC high quality format. You need another 15-20 gigs of hard drive space to process this. The of course you'll need to burn it. Be care of the output size becuase you might need DL DVD's if you want really high quality. You can choose a slight quality reduction if you want regular DVD. Check out the output options in movie maker to pick the one that works best for you.
